PURPOSE: To exactly grasp the progress of condition of a patient, by indicating and recording numeric signals and the waveform thereof.

CONSTITUTION: A signal to be recorded is selected for each channel in a signal selection unit 100, and time interval is set in a timer 110 for recording signals at regular intervals. When the recording time has come, a signal is generated in the timer 110 to select the first patient in a patient selection unit 120. At the same time, a calibration signal from a calibration signal generator 130 is recorded in a recorder 140 for a predetermined period of time. A plurality of signal of the patient selected in the patient selection unit 120 are thereafter recorded for a predetermined period of time as the signals are controlled by the timer 110. After signals from the first patient have been recorded, the following patient is selected in the selection unit 120, and a calibration signal and a body signal are recorded in the mentioned order. After signals from all patient have been recorded, all actions of the apparatus are stopped until the following recording time has come. Thus, the progress of condition of a patient can be exactly grasped.
