To provide an apparatus for inserting a curtain fabric and a paper pattern designed to carry out extending and shrinking in the curtain width direction by pressing the curtain fabric and paper pattern with even force and readily performing operation to insert the curtain fabric in a short time by a small number of operators and uniform pleats can regularly be formed when the curtain fabric is inserted into the pleats of the paper pattern in a preceding stage of applying shape memory in pleating the curtain fabric.
The apparatus is designed to insert the curtain fabric A into the pleats of the paper pattern B by clamping lateral ends in the curtain longitudinal direction of the curtain fabric A and paper pattern B and extending or shrinking the curtain fabric A and paper pattern B in the curtain width direction. A pair of moving bars 22 are installed in the direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of a rectangular table 1 at right angles over the table 1 oppositely so as to simultaneously approach or isolate with the nearly central part in the longitudinal direction of the table 1 as a boundary. A plurality of clamping apparatuses 30 for clamping the lateral ends in the curtain longitudinal direction of the curtain fabric A and paper pattern B are installed in the longitudinal direction of the moving bars 22 so as to regulate the interval. The clamping apparatus 30 for both the moving bars 22 are oppositely arranged.
