Abstract:

To shorten the time required in a step for inserting yarns in the thickness direction when producing the three-dimensional fibrous structure and improve the productivity of the three-dimensional fibrous structure.

This apparatus for inserting yarns z in the thickness direction is capable of inserting and passing the yarns z in the thickness direction through a laminated yarn group F by reciprocation of a row of needles 40 for inserting the yarns z in the thickness direction, moving a pressing plate 85 between an operating position for engaging with the laminated yarn group F and pressing the laminated yarn group F and a standby position for making the pressing plate 85 disengageable with the laminated yarn group F by an air cylinder 82, moving pressing blocks 99a and 99b between an operating position for engaging with the laminated yarn group F and pressing the laminated yarn group F and a standby position for making the pressing blocks 99a and 99b disengageable with the laminated yarn group F by air cylinders 97 and 98, respectively regulating the stroke of the pressing plate 85 with a stopper 88 driven with an air cylinder 87 and the stroke of the pressing blocks 99a and 99b with a stopper 103 driven with an air cylinder 102 and moving the pressing plate 85 and the pressing blocks 99a and 99b with short strokes at the time of usual operations.
