Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a random web of low density and high bulk size with high uniformity by improving an apparatus for making the fiber web by simple means.
CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for making the fiber web is provided with a toothed opening roller 1 for fiber web stock which can be driven at a circumferential speed at which the fibers of the opened fiber web stock can be splashed by centrifugal force, a capturing surface 5 which has at least a nearly flat fiber dispersion range 6, circulates and allows the passage of air, and a suction box 7 which is connected to the capturing surface on the side opposite to the opening roller in the fiber dispersion range 6.
