To provide an apparatus for manufacturing ceramic pipes which enables the ceramic pipes to be rotated without the occurrence of rubbing flaws in firing and is low in fuel consumption.
This apparatus is provided with a preheating furnace 3 for preheating the molded and dried ceramic pipes P while conveying the same and a heating furnace 2 which has plural sets of forward and backward pipe rotating means 22 consisting of a pair of forward rotating and backward rotating ceramic rollers 22a and a rotary moving hearth 21 for rotationally moving plural sets of these pipe rotating means 22 around the perpendicular axial center and fires the ceramic pipes P preheated in the preheating furnace 3 while forward and backward rotating the ceramic pipes and conveying the pipes by the rotary moving hearth 21. The apparatus is provided with a cooling furnace 4 for cooling the ceramic pipes P fired by the heating furnace 2 and is provided with pipe transfer means for transferring the ceramic pipes P from the preheating furnace 3 to the heating furnace 2 and from the heating furnace 2 to the cooling furnace 4.
