To provide a manufacturing apparatus having a novel structure to form a functional base body on which a dot pattern of a solution containing a functional material is formed.

The manufacturing apparatus has a spray head 11 for spraying the solution 56 to a base body 14 and an information input means 20 for inputting information to the spray head 11. The spray head 11 is loaded on a holding means 22 and arranged at a position opposed to the base body 14. The solution 56 is sprayed to a prescribed position of the base body 14 based on the information inputted by the information input means 20. A laser beam irradiation means 23 is loaded on the holding means 22 and the solution 56 is imparted to the surface 14a of the base body 14 along the locus of the laser beam. The laser beam irradiation means 23 and the spray head 11 are attached to the holding means with a certain gap 26 to separate both of them so that the length LG of the gap 26 is larger than the distance L1 between the surface 14a of the base body 14 and the laser beam outgoing surface 23e of a laser beam irradiation part 23E.
