To provide an apparatus which prevents a defective light shielding pattern (BS) from being manufactured for operator's insufficient confirmation of defective parts in a stage of forming a BS on a lens sheet, or other reasons and prevents a defective BS from being stuck to a normal substrate to manufacture an unnecessary product, for operator's insufficient confirmation of a caution sheet in a sticking step (a step of laminating the lens sheet and a light diffusing substrate) or other reasons.
The apparatus includes; a check step of checking the light shielding pattern by imaging of the light shielding pattern, distribution measurement of the quantity of reflected light from the light shielding pattern or the like; a lens sheet manufacturing step provided with a means for marking a defective part of the light shielding when detecting the defective part; and a sticking step provided with a means for detecting marking of the defective pattern of the light shielding pattern not tosupply the normal light diffusing substrate to the defective part but to supply a dummy substrate of the same size and laminating the dummy substrate on the lens sheet.
