PURPOSE: To provide a creeping distance measuring apparatus which can simply and correctly measure a distance between two points along a surface.

CONSTITUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a diameter-measuring element 10 which has a pair of opening/closing movable claws 11 and can be held in touch with optional two measuring points of a curved work, and a step measuring element 30 which can move on a center line where the measuring element 10 is opened/closed. Moreover, the apparatus has a creeping distance measuring device 1 which outputs a diameter voltage corresponding to an opening degree of the measuring element 10 and a step difference voltage corresponding to the movement, of the measuring element 30, and an operating device 50 which operates a distance of the two measuring points along a surface of the curved work from the diameter voltage and step difference voltage.
