Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air pollution or environmental pollution by detoxifying the exhaust gas of an incinerator by decomposing a harmful substance in the exhaust gas by ozone and ultraviolet rays to remove an offensive smell and sedimenting fine particles such as particles of soot or the like in the exhaust gas to recover them and cleaning cooling wastewater coming into contact with the exhaust gas to circulate cleaned wastewater to use the same as cooling water.
SOLUTION: The exhaust gas of the incinerator 1 cooled in a tower body by cooling water and cooling wastewater flow in a sedimentation pit 18 for particles of soot or the like. The sedimentation pit 18 for particles of soot or the like is divided into a lower sedimentation water area and an upper exhaust passage D and the interior the sedimentation pit 18 is demarcated into sedimentation chambers 24A, 24B, etc., by a plurality of partition walls 20, 21, etc. A lead-out passage ozone generator is provided on the upstream side of the sedimentation pit 18 for particles of soot or the like, and ozone air stones and sedimentation chamber ozone generators 41 are provided in the sedimentation pit 18 for particles of soot or the like and ultraviolet lamps 29 are provided in the respective sedimentation chambers.
