To provide an apparatus for and a method of deep groove welding capable of including some capacities such as a capacity of achieving the high welding speed of a welding material in a deep narrow groove, a capacity of reducing the strain of a work by controlling the heat input, a capacity of reinforcing the welding quality by reducing the possibility of slag inclusion, a capacity of reducing the manufacturing cost by enhancing the productivity, a capacity of providing a special welding material having the correctly controlled chemical property including the specific metallurgical and mechanical characteristics, a capacity of reducing the entire heat input, and a capacity of enhancing the welding characteristic by mixing one or more shield gas extremely close to a molten pond of the welding material.
The welding apparatus includes a torch body comprising at least one core, a plurality of contact tips extending in a direction away from the at least one core, and a plurality of gas supply tubes disposed proximate the plurality of contact tips and extending in a substantially similar direction as the plurality of contact tips.
