To provide an apparatus for detecting a stop of a movable unit which can surely detect a stop of an operating unit even when an inertial force is different and which has high convenience.

The apparatus for detecting the stop of the movable unit comprises a wind velocity sensor 2 having a heater 3, a temperature sensor 4, a temperature sensor 5 and a support 6, and a stop detecting means 7. When temperature (Ta, Tb) of a heat generated from the heater 3 are detected by the sensors 4, 5. When the sensors 4, 5 output corresponding temperature signals ST1, ST2, the means 7 calculates a deviation (Ta-Tb) of the temperature detected by the sensors 4, 5. If the difference of the temperature is '0' (Ta-Tb=0), the means decides that the movable units MR, MS are stopped and output a stop signal SDT.
