Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make write lines written to a photosensitive body straight in an entire horizontal scanning width and avoid a reduction of an entire write width.
SOLUTION: The array head includes an array having a plurality of chips aligned in a line in a horizontal scanning direction. Each chip has a plurality of light-emitting elements 211 arranged in a line. Each light-emitting element emits light in accordance with a driving signal responding to image information. Each chip is arranged slantwise to a write line by a light from each of the light-emitting elements 211 by a distance where a photosensitive body moves in a vertical scanning direction in one horizontal scan. Moreover, each chip 211 is arranged so that a pitch La is obtained between specific light-emitting elements in a state of the chip parallel to the horizontal scanning direction.
