To form images of a uniform density at all times by controlling a voltage pulse applied to a heater element so that a changed image formation characteristic is uniform for all of a plurality of nozzles in a print head including the heater element.
An image formation apparatus 10 has a print head 45. A plurality of nozzles 120 with a cavity 90 for storing a print fluid (ink) reacting to heat are set to the print head 45. When a heater element 150 to which a voltage pulse is supplied is heated, a surface tension is eased by the print head 45 and the ink is discharged. The voltage pulse applied to a plurality of heater elements 150 for corresponding nozzles 120 is controlled by a voltage supply unit 160. Moreover, the voltage pulse to be applied is controlled by a controller 40 so that an image formation characteristic is changed to conform to each nozzle 120 and the changed image formation characteristic is uniform for all the nozzles.
