Abstract:
To provide an apparatus arranged to heat smokable material such that different portions of the smokable material can be heated to different temperatures or such that a uniform temperature profile can be achieved.SOLUTION: An apparatus 100 comprises at least one thin-film heater 200 constructed and arranged to heat smokable material 252 contained in use within the apparatus. The thin-film heater has a plurality of heating regions for heating different portions of the smokable material contained in use within the apparatus. At least a first heating region of the thin-film heater has a different watt density than at least a second heating region of the thin-film heater.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
