The image processing apparatus 10 has a display device 17, an input device 16 for specifying a trimming process ranges of the images displayed on the screen of the display device 17, a ROM 13 which stores a program for trimming the images, a CPU 12 which trims the images, a RAM 14 which temporarily stores image data, a storage device 15 which stores the image data, a stylus 23 for specifying a trimming frame, etc. The image processing apparatus 10 performs trimming processing range selection processing to select the trimming processing range, makes a preview of the trimming result by performing trimming result preview processing, displays the image trimmed on the entire screen of the display device 17 by performing image trimming processing, and performs switching processing for display information again.
