Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a conductive composition which is electrically resistant and is temperature adjustable for applying a coating to various kinds of bases by suspending a non-continuos conductive component, such as graphite in a non-conducive binder made of compound such as alkaline silicate. CONSTITUTION: This coating has a high-temperature conductive resistance, and contains a high-temperature conductive component in which necessary amount is suspended in a non-conductive binder for obtaining such conductivity and electric resistance that are selected, so as to generate heat in a temperature range of up to about 1,093 deg.C through current. Then, the high-temperature conductive component is selected from graphite, carbon, tungsten carbide, and the combination thereof. In addition, the bonding agent is selected from alkaline silicate, clay, silica, silicon carbide, iron oxide, and compatible adhesive agents. Moreover, the conductive component contained is 4-15 wt.%, and the non- conductive binder contained is 50-68 wt.%.
