The apparatus 10 for positioning the cylindrical film comprises sandwiching means 12 having sandwiching surfaces 13a and 14a arranged substantially in parallel at the cylindrical film 11 between the surfaces 13a and 14a in the lengthwise direction of the film 11 to relatively move the sandwiching surfaces 13a and 14a so that a distance between the surfaces is changeable, a pressing means 15 relatively moving along the moving direction of the surfaces 13a and 14a and the substantially perpendicular direction, sandwiching the film 11 sandwiched between the two surfaces 13a and 14a from the side face direction and pressing, and a positioning unit 10 of the cylindrical film having a designating means for designating the specific position of the pressed film 11.
