Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for production of a light transmissive molding which facilitate keeping consistently intervals among a large number of optical fibers embedded, and a light transmissive molding.SOLUTION: A production apparatus for light transmissive moldings includes: a container 12; an optical fiber holding body 14 in which an optical fiber layer 13 consisting of a large number of optical fibers 3 aligned at nearly equal intervals is held by a holding part 16 holding the optical fiber layer 13 at intervals narrower than the intervals of the optical fiber layer 13; and a holding mechanism 15 holding the optical fiber holding body 14 so as to be in a vertical posture. Placed objects can flow downward in the longitudinal direction of the optical fibers 3 of the optical fiber holding body 14 housed in the container 12 in a state of being held with the holding mechanism 15.
