Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a BOG-re-liquefying apparatus for an LNG storage tank, which can re-liquefy a BOG safely and stably and can reduce the power cost for the pressure transport of a BOG in LNG storage and pressure transport equipment and to provide a method for re-liquefying a BOG.
SOLUTION: This apparatus is equipped with an LNG storage tank 11, an LNG pressure transport system 16 for pressurizing, evaporating, and transporting an LNG stored in the storage tank 11, a BOG compression system 18 for compressing the BOG in the tank 11 to a pressure high enough to liquefy the BOG in the tank 11, a BOG-re-liquefying apparatus 19 comprising a shell-and-coil heat exchanger and liquefying the BOG compressed with the BOG compression system 18 by the heat exchange of the BOG with the LNG in the LNG pressure transport system 16, a regenerated LNG return system 20 for returning the LNG regenerated at the BOG re-liquefying apparatus 19 to the tank 11, and a regenerated LNG pressure transport system 22 for pressurizing the regenerated LNG and leading it to the exist side of the BOG re-liquefying apparatus 19.
