To capture fine raw refuse and excess sludge from a comminuted raw refuse drain water at a good capturing ratio based on a simple constitution and to satisfactorily dry it.
The apparatus for separately drying comprises a container means 1 receiving a solid matter-containing drain water containing a large amount of fine solid matters, a capturing means 2 for separately capturing the fine matters contained in the water from the water, agitating means 3, 4 for agitating contents in the container means including the capturing means, a drain piping 7 for externally draining the water in which the matters are removed by the capturing means, and drying means 10, 12 for drying the contents in the container means containing the fine matters separately captured by the capturing means.
