To provide an apparatus for separating oil in an oil-containing material, which can safely and efficiently collect the oil from the oil-containing material, and a method for separating the oil.
Solids generated by disintegrating the oil-containing material instantaneously and evaporated oil are rotated in a circumferential direction around a cylindrical axis of a cylindrical body and they move between a vertically bottom portion 10a and a vertically top portion 10b. In the process, the solids generated by disintegrating the oil-containing material instantaneously are particulated by being brought into contact with each other and with the inside of a cylindrical injection space 43, and, in a state where they are particulated to a certain degree, are discharged together with the evaporated oil from a discharge port 23 to a cyclone 24.
