Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treating apparatus by which phosphorus and nitrogen can efficiently be removed, whose size can be made small and whose manufacturing cost can be reduced.
SOLUTION: This waste water treating apparatus 1 is provided with a waste water treating chamber 4, at least a pair of electrodes 5, 6 at least a part of each of which is immersed in the waste water and at least one side of which elutes iron ions or aluminum ions by electrolysis for removing phosphoric acid ions in the waste water by precipitation, a power source 7 for supplying electrolytic currents to the electrodes 5, 6, a controller 8 for controlling the power source 7 and metallic catalysts 9, 10 one of which is arranged near at least the other electrodes 5, 6 and which contribute to the denitrification reaction with hydrogen generated from the electrode in the waste water.
