Abstract:

To provide an apparatus for preventing the generation of a large protrusion in a treatment zone by moving a shot to be used for the partial incision of an eye from the center axis of the treatment at random or by another method in a corneal orthetic treatment through the use of laser polishing or dithering, and also to provide a method therefor.

The method is the one for controlling a laser system to remove tissue from a certain area of a cornea, and also the laser system to generate a certain size of a laser spot having the center at a certain position on the cornea where the vertical axis of the treatment is positioned. The method includes: a step (a) for setting the size of the spot within a range of 10%-90% in size of the area; and a step (b) for moving the center position of the spot along the cornea to at least one position where is separated from the treatment axis.
