Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control the supply of water in the case of moistening a rayon yarn to be subjected to weft insertion without damaging the rayon yarn.
SOLUTION: The rayon yarn 3 to be subjected to weft insertion can be passed through the upper part of the gap G between the right and left disks 7, 9. The disks 7, 9 are rotated in the same direction at the same speed. Spiral grooves 15, 16 gyrating from the outer circumference toward the center of the disk and narrowing the diameter toward the gyrating direction are formed on the inner faces of the disks. The lower parts of the disks are immersed in water and the water entered from a water tank into the spiral grooves 15, 16 is lifted by the rotation of the disks 7, 9. The rayon yarn is moistened by contacting with the lifted water.
