PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for molding a cylinder having notched grooves making it easy to draw out a molded cylinder from a mold by making the outer peripheral surfaces of twelve divided male mold units narrow and by shortening the projected parts for forming the notched grooves of the cylinder, making the draft angle of the projected parts acute to set the upper and lower edge parts of the notched grooves of the molded cylinder to an angle near to a right angle and smoothly performing the advance and retreat of the cylinder.
SOLUTION: A male mold 1 forming a molding gap 10 with respect to a female mold 7 is divided into twelve parts of form male mold units 1A and 1B of two shapes and the inner surfaces of the molding parts 1f of the male mold units 1B are set to taper surfaces 1g and bosses 2 are arranged in these male mold units 1A and 1B and projected parts 1a and 1b, of which the upper and lower edge parts are formed into inclined surfaces 1m having an acute angle, are provided to the outer peripheral surfaces of the molding parts 1e and 1f of the male mold units 1A and 1B and one male mold units 1A are formed into a fan shape on a plan view and the outer peripheral surfaces of the other male mold units 1B are formed into an almost arcuate hexagonal shape and these male mold units 1A and 1B are alternately arranged in a peripheral direction.
