To compose an apparatus for needling a patterned felt web so as that the diversity of patterns to be produced with needles can be increased to a considerable extent.

This apparatus for needling a patterned felt web (1) comprises needling devices. In the apparatus, the needling devices comprise at least one needle plate (6) or (7) and felt guides between a felt supporting base (9) and strippersequipped with needling devices. The felt supporting base (9)comprises a thin plate (10) extending in the felt passagedirection (3) or a brush supporting base moving with the feltweb (1) and revolving. In order to provide advantageousstructural conditions, the following are proposed. That is,the needling devices are provided with at least the twoneedle plates (6) and (7) mutually installed at an intervalkept in the front and rear in the felt passage direction (3),mutually independently drivable and having a needledistribution for different patterns to the utmost and thecommon felt supporting base (9) extending from one end to theother end between the needle plates (6) and (7) and attachedto both the needle plates (6) and (7).
