Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for opening and cleaning fiber tufts, capable of improving fiber processing under a satisfactory clamping action and also enabling the production to simply be performed.
SOLUTION: In an apparatus for opening and cleaning fiber tufts (cotton, synthetic fibers, etc.), the fiber material passes through a feeder such as a feed roller 1 cooperating with a dish plate 2 and then at least one opening equipment such as a taker-in roller 3 with a cleaning device and then is fed into a processing machine. A clearance x between the feed roller 1 and the taker-in roller 3 in the subsequent stage of the roller 1 and its expanded clearance y can both be adjusted.
