Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for pleating curtain cloth by which pleats are regularly and simply formed even when the width size of the curtain cloth is different and inexpensive curtains are obtained.
SOLUTION: This apparatus is composed of a lower mold 1 and an upper mold. Clamps 18 for fixing both selvedges of curtain cloth 3 are provided on both sides of the lower mold 1 and a plurality of pipes 7 are attached thereto at equal spaces and pressor bars 13 are attached at same intervals as these pipes 7 to the lower ends of a plurality of arms 14 extending from side plates 12 to the lower direction so that the upper mold 2 can be advanced and lowered into a space between a plurality of pipes 7 of the lower mold 1 and the upper mold 2 is put on the curtain cloth 3 attached to the lower mold 1 and pleating of the curtain cloth 3 is carried out.
