To provide an apparatus constituted so as to ensure the proper sending-in of a web to the apparatus even after the operation of a roll of a material is stopped.

In an apparatus for processing at least two webs 5-5"' composed of a material such as paper or a plastic film, at least two material rolls 2, 2a are provided to be rotated within unwinding units 1, 1a and pre-drawing-out units 9, 10 equipped with pre-drawing-out rolls or rollers unwind the material webs from the unwinding units and the webs are drawn into the apparatus. Even when the material rolls are inertially rotated for a long time from the pre-drawing-out units by the sudden stop of operation, in order to ensure the proper sending-in of the webs to the apparatus, brakes 30 are arranged one by one between the unwinding units 1, 1a and the pre-drawing-out units 9, 10 and decelerate the webs separately and energized when the pre-drawing-out units 9, 10 are suddenly stopped or the sending-in speed of the webs is delayed to a large extent.
