To provide an apparatus for producing chaff charcoal which can detect temperature in conformity with carbonization state of chaff burning in a carbonization furnace, is operated on the basis of the detected temperature, uniformly carbonizes chaff and improves qualities of chaff charcoal as a product.

The apparatus for producing chaff charcoal has constitution that a temperature sensor 39 for detecting the temperature of chaff during combustion is arranged in the vicinity of a discharge port 6 of the carbonization furnace 1 of chaff and an air blasting means for sending combustion air to an air blasting chamber 4 formed below a turntable 50 automatically adjusts an air flow according to the set temperature of chaff during combustion.
