Abstract:

To provide a method by which heat is recovered from a reaction gas and operation is stably continued even when a heat exchanger for heat recovery is clogged in absorbing (meth)acrylic acid included in the reaction gas discharged from a reactor by an absorption column.

The method for producing (meth)acrylic acid is to generate (meth)acrylic acid by vapor phase catalytic oxidation reaction of propane and the like in a raw material gas containing propane and the like and oxygen using a reactor 1, distribute the generated gas into a heat exchanger 20 and an absorption column 30, recover heat energy from the reaction gas fed to the heat exchanger 20, feed the reaction gas cooled by the heat exchanger 20 and the reaction gas distributed to the absorption column 30 to the absorption column 30, recover (meth)acrylic acid from the reaction gases to an absorption liquid and produce (meth)acrylic acid. The reaction gas is distributed to the heat exchanger 20 and the absorption column 30 depending on the pressure at the entrance of the reactor 1 of the raw material gas.
