Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a sheet carrying functional microparticles at good efficiency without using any large-scale equipment in such a manner that the microparticles such as functional microparticles are adhered to the surface of the sheet highly densely without any loss without being buried in a binder layer irrespectively of the kind of the microparticles used while assuring a clean working environment.
SOLUTION: A base sheet (2) on which a binder layer (3) has been formed is continuously passed through an electric field zone (23). Functional microparticles (4) are fed into the zone (23) to be charged with either positive or negative charges, and the charged functional microparticles (4) being in the state orderly arranged by electrostatic force and in the state covering the entire sheet (2) uniformly and highly densely is adhered to the layer (3) to allow the sheet (2) to carry the microparticles to obtain a microparticle-carrying sheet (1) in which the functional microparticles (4) constituting the outermost layer of the microparticle layer (24) are not buried in the binder layer (3), and a part of their bodies protrude from the binder layer (3). That portion of the microparticles (4) which are outside the electric field zone (23) and remains floating are recirculated into a microparticle recirculation apparatus (27) and are fed into the zone (23).
