PURPOSE: To automate the apparatus and improve the environmental sanitation and safety by a method wherein powder and granular contents are put into a hopper with an opening of a bag facing downward while the bag is held by a holding means such as a fork-like claw.

CONSTITUTION: After an upper end of a bag B with fluidal substance such as powder or granules contained is opened, it is carried by a roller conveyer 16 to be fed onto a lift 10. When the bag B is mounted on the lift 10, a rotating arm 13 is rotated and the tip of a fork-like claw 15 is stuck to the bag B. With a motor 4 operated the lift 10 is elevated, and the bag B is carried upward along a guide plate 8. When the bag B passes through an upper end saddle- shaped part of the guide plate 8, the bag B is turned from a lateral direction to an inverted state so that the fluidal substance is put into a hopper from the opening. When putting in of the fluidal substance is completed, a chain 7 is rotated oppositely to have the lift returned to the initial position, and then the fork-like claw 15 is removed to remove the bag B.
