PURPOSE: To eliminate the exchange of ion exchange resins and to cut maintenance costs by detecting the conductivity of a coolant passed through ion exchange resins and supplying a regeneration agent based on the results of the detection in an apparatus in which a coolant can be reused using ion exchange resins.
CONSTITUTION: Waste coolant (waste LLC) removed from a car is led into a waste LLC tank 1 and sent to a filter 3 by a pressure pump 2 to remove insoluble substances. The coolant is then sent to an ion exchange column 4 to remove ionic substances, and treated LLC, after being stored in a treated LLC tank 5, is returned to a car. In this process, a pipe 6 for transferring the treated LLC is equipped with a conductivity meter 11 for detecting the conductivity of the treated LLC. When the detected conductivity reaches a specified value, the pump 2 is stopped, liquid which is passed through the ion exchanged column 4 is led to a waste liquid tank 12, and a regeneration agent in a regeneration agent supply tank 15 is injected into the ion exchange column 4 for regeneration.
