Title:
APPARATUS FOR REMOVAL OF EXCESS DAMPENING WATER IN PRESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61277450
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the efficient precision of printing and to avoid the phenomena of the emulsification of ink or the like by supplying an optimum amount of dampening water to a plate cylinder, by installing the water-sucking mechanism removing dampening water to any roller constituting the dampening water feeder in the press.

CONSTITUTION: The water in a cistern is finally supplied to the plate surface of plate cylinder by rotation of water feeding roller. At that time, the water film 58 at the end part of water feeding roller becomes smaller than a suitable thickness because an excess of water is attached thereto. Excessive water of water film 58 together with air is sucked by the body 21a (21b) of suction part. At that time, the top end part of the upper surface cover 34 contacts the surface of water feed roller 4, receives the excess water and facilitate the sucking of water by transferring the water to the scratching-off sucking opening 30 side. Thereby, excess dampening water in the dampening water feeder can be simply certainly removed, the emulsification of ink and bad effect being removed, and the efficient precision of printing and the clear printing matter can be obtained.
