Title:
APPARATUS FOR REMOVING CAN HAVING DEFORMED FLANGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2950066
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To remove cans having deformed flanges easily from a can production line.
CONSTITUTION: Detection planes 21, 31 support a flange formed at the open end of a can 2. The can 2 is then moved along the longitudinal direction of the detection planes 21, 31. When the flange of the can 2 has normal shape, the detection planes 21, 31 can transfer the can 2 downstream while resisting against the force of compressed air blown through a blowout port 11. In case of a can having deformed flange, the detection planes 21, 31 can not engage normally with the flange and thereby the can is blown off by the compressed air fed through the blowout port 11. This constitution allows easy removal of a can 2 having a deformed flange from a transfer path.
