PURPOSE: To remove static electricity and dusts from a member having a property to be electrified to prevent dusts having been removed from reattaching to said mem ber, by providing a dust removal device to remove dusts from a plate-shaped member having a property to be electrified from which static electricity has been removed by means of a first discharge electrode and a dust collector to collect said removed dusts.
CONSTITUTION: At first, electrostatic charge of a belt-shaped member A having a property to be electrified, made of plastics or ceramics, which has been fed by a first discharge electrode 1 is electrically removed, and thereafter dusts which have been electrostatically attached to the member from which static electricity has been removed are removed by means of a dust removal device 5. Further, the dusts thus removed are collected by a dust collector 6 to prevent the dusts from reattaching to the belt-shaped member. Thereafter, static-electricity removal treatment is applied again to the member A having been dusted off by the dust removal device 5 by means of a second discharge electrode 7 to avoid further electrification, during which treat ment said member A is caused to float up to be carried to the succeeding process without being contacted by any other things so as not to be electrified by blowing air against said member from the lower side thereof by means of a transfer device 3.
