Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for sampling a powder sample from a powder transfer pipe.
SOLUTION: The powder sample is introduced into a powder inflow passage with an L-shaped vertical cross-sectional shape, which is connected to the outlet of the sampling pipe and of which the outlet is bent downwardly, and dropped into the container provided on the lower part of the powder inflow passage. The dropped powder sample is separated into a powder and air by a specific gravity difference to be accumulated on the bottom of the container and light air flows toward an upper filter to be filtered by the filter to be discharged to the outside. If the apparatus thus constituted is attached to the transfer pipe for feeding the powder under pressure, even the high temperature powder generating danger by the direct contact with the hand can be sampled in an extremely safe manner without deteriorating the peripheral environment.
