To provide an apparatus for sealing throat parts of dead bodies by which leakage of body fluid from throat parts can surely be prevented without using an insufflator or an injector.
A body fluid-absorbing material having a highly water-absorbing polymer is included in an expanded columnar body and the expanded columnar body is charged into a flexible catheter and the flexible catheter and a flexible contact member are together inserted into the throat part in a condition in which the expanded columnar body is packed. Then, the flexible catheter and the flexible contact member are relatively moved to dash out the expanded columnar body charged into the flexible catheter and the expanded columnar body is fed into the throat part, and body fluid is absorbed by the highly water-absorbing polymer and the expanded columnar body is expanded to seal the throat part.
