Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for separating pulp in order to recover the pulp from waste paper.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus comprises a nearly cylindrical chamber divided into two chambers 1 and 2 with a grid 3 and is obtained by installing an inlet 4 for pulp containing contaminants in a wall surface opposite the grid 3, arranging an outlet 10 for discharging the extracted pulp into the chamber 2, providing an outlet 7 for discharging the contaminants in the chamber 1, arranging cleaning blades 11 capable of preventing the clogging of the grid 3 and located adjacent to the downstream side of the grid 3 and providing mixing blades 5 for mixing the pulp containing the contaminants on the upstream side of the grid 3. A liquid near the rotating shaft of the mixing blades 5 is propelled in the direction on the opposite side of the grid 3 by the mixing blades 5.
