Abstract:
To provide an apparatus for softening water capable of suppressing reduction in softening ability after regeneration processing of a weakly basic anion-exchange resin.SOLUTION: An apparatus for softening water comprises: a softening tank for softening raw water with a weakly acidic cation-exchange resin; a neutralizing tank for neutralizing acidic softened water obtained in the softening tank with a weakly basic anion-exchange resin; an electrolysis tank for generating acidic and alkaline electrolysis water; a first passage for introducing water from the electrolysis tank to the softening tank; a second passage for introducing water from the electrolysis tank to the neutralizing tank; and a tank for storing electrolysis water. The passages are set so that acidic electrolysis water generated in the electrolysis tank is introduced to the softening tank through the first passage when regenerating a weakly acidic cation-exchange resin, and the alkaline electrolysis water generated in the electrolysis tank is introduced to the neutralizing tank through the second passage when regenerating a weakly basic anion-exchange resin, and a solid separation filter is provided in the middle of the second passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
