PURPOSE: To pelletize the waste of thermoplastic resins in mixture with ashes in order to prevent secondary pollution by a method wherein a plastic waste inlet opening is provided at the upper part of an inverted cone-shaped tower, this tower is provided with an inlet opening for receiving cinder or ashes at its middle part and a granulating device is connected with the lower end of the tower.

CONSTITUTION: The waste of thermoplastic resins supplied from a supply opening 11 into a tower 1 is heated by an electric heater 6 to be softened and melted. This plastic waste is then moved by a a craper 2 on a shelf 5 composed of a plurality of horizontal plates having a number of holes with a downward motion from the top plate through the plate holes 5a to the bottom plate. Upon passage through the lowermost plate, the plastic waste is forcibly moved downward by a screw feeder 3, while being kneaded with cinder or ashes supplied from an inlet hole 22. In doing so, the plastic waste is forced out into a granulating device 8 by shearing, while being heated, softened and melted. After granulation thereby, the resulting products are delivered as pellets.
