Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for sterilizing foods enabling the effective sterilization of foods placed in a number of containers and the reduction of sterile space needed for the treatment after the sterilization to the close packaging of the product containers, free from the danger of pollution with germs after sterilization, and further capable of performing sterilization of the sterile space easily in a short time.
SOLUTION: This apparatus 100 for sterilizing foods comprises retainer- supplying conveyors 102, preliminary heating tanks 104, sterilizing kettles 110, sterile moving capsules 200, a normal-pressure steam sterile space section 202 and a sterile filling machine. Plural retainer-supplying conveyors 102 are arranged roughly vertically. Plural preliminary heating tanks 104 are arranged roughly vertically each at a position corresponding to a retainer-supplying conveyor 102. Plural sterilizing kettles 110 are arranged roughly vertically each at the position corresponding to a preliminary heating tanks 104. Plural sterile moving capsules 200 are arranged roughly vertically each at the position corresponding to a row of a sterilizing kettle 110. A sterile moving capsule 200 can move vertically and is linked to a sterilizing kettle 110.
