To provide an apparatus for sucking and sticking labels which can pressure-bond a label to an object to be labelled.

The apparatus 10 for sucking and sticking labels comprises numerous holes 44, 44, etc., on a lower surface of a suction member 38 coupled with a cylinder 36. The holes 44, 44, etc., are grouped into lines in a direction orthogonal to a transfer direction, and each group is made to communicate with a compressor 56 via a hose 54. The hose 54 is branched on the midway, while a solenoid valve 48 is placed on one of hoses 54a and a solenoid valve 50 and a vacuum generator 52 are placed on the other hose 54b. The solenoid valves 48, 50 are controlled from a downstream of the transfer direction of the object 18 which is to receive the label.
