Title:
APPARATUS TO ESTIMATE ENERGY CONSUMPTION QUANTITY THAT FOLLOWS MOTION BY OBSERVING MAN'S POSITIONAL PHYSICAL MOTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3862525
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus that can estimate an energy consumption quantity based on the motion energy reflecting a tested person's weight or his individual regions' complicated motion that follows an optional and positional physical motion.
SOLUTION: This apparatus to estimate energy consumption quantity is equipped with a means for taking photographs of a person being tested who performs a positional body motion at a prescribed photo-taking place by a plurality of cameras from different directions, a means for the body under motion analysis which makes the images of the person being tested and photographed by these cameras as digitalized data and multi-eye stereo-processed after they are downloaded to a computer, and transfers a 3-dimensional displacement of the body's each region to time series data, a means for motion energy integration which integrates motion energy of body's each region based on the displacement time series data of the body's each region that are obtained from the means for the body under motion analysis and the qualitative and quantitative information on the body's each region of the person being tested, and a means for output that converts the motion energy value obtained by the motion energy integration means into an energy consumption quantity of the person being tested.
