PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for treating a continuous fabric capable of carrying out the uniform treatment even for a delicate fabric such as new synthetic fiber.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus for treating a continuous fabric is composed of the first treating step for dipping the fabric with a moistening roller 11 having the lower half part at least partially dipped in a treating liquid, the second treating step for feeding the treating liquid to both the front and back surfaces of the fabric to which the treating liquid is applied with a cascade device 12 and the third treating step for making the fabric to which the treating liquid is applied with stay in the cascade device. Furthermore, the cascade device is equipped with nozzles for spraying the treating liquid into the form of a curtain on both the surfaces of the fabric in the tip thereof, a tilted guide plate 13, formed in the zigzag shape and arranged from the nozzles downward, a receiving surface 15 installed in a turned back part of the tilted surface, an endless carrying conveyor 18 provided above the fabric in the residential part and jetting ports 2 for jetting the treating liquid obliquely installed upward in the fabric conveying direction under the fabric. The carrying conveyor is constructed so as to enable the rocking in the conveying and vertical directions with a driving means.
