To provide a garbage treating apparatus by which hydrous organic waste crushed by a crushing means such as a disposer is separated into solid and liquid, and the separated solid is made disposable by drying.
This garbage treatment apparatus for separating the hydrous organic waste into solid waste and sewage and drying the solid waste separated from the sewage is provided with a solid-liquid separating means 1 for separating the hydrous organic waste into solid waste and sewage and a drying means 2 for drying the solid waste separated from the sewage by the means 1, which are communicated with each other and arrayed in a row, and furthermore a controller 18 for driving and controlling the means 1 and 2 individually. As a result, the hydrous organic waste can be separated into solid and liquid, and the separated solid is made disposable by drying.
