To provide an apparatus for the vol. reducing treatment of a waste plastic container which prevents explosive destruction at a time of vol. reduction while reducing necessary vol. reducing pressure, is simple in structure, improves the breaking properties of a waste plastic container, and is easy in fractionation treatment after recovery.
A space 2 extending in a lateral direction is provided under a hopper 1 and a thrust drum 4 is provided in the space 2 so as to be revolved at its eccentric position by a shaft 5. The engaging roll of a waste plastic container 12 is provided under the thrust drum 4 and the waste plastic bottle 12 is held between the thrust drum 4 and the engaging roll. The thrust drum 4 is alternately rotated forwardly and reversely and the gaps between the thrust drum, the spits of the lower end of a cast disc and the engaging roll can be adjusted. The angle of inclination of the lower wall of the hopper 1 is fixed so as to be regulable and the inner wall of the hopper 1 is fixed so as to be regulated in horizontal and vertical directions X, Y by an XY regulation apparatus.
