Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for wetting a beltlike material, capable of uniformly and efficiently spraying steam upon a beltlike material.
SOLUTION: A steam spraying pipe is constituted of a triple pipe structure. When steam is supplied to an inner pipe 32 of the steam spraying pipe, the steam is gushed out from a first spray hole 60 of an inner pipe 32 to a space 70 between the inner pipe and a middle pipe. Since a shortcut to a second spray hole 62 is blocked by a baffle 68, the gushed steam is made to take a roundabout way and sent toward the second hole 62. On the way to flow in the space 70, the turbulent flow is gradually uniformed, sprayed in a uniform state from the second spray hole 62 through a connecting pipe 66 and sprayed from a third spray hole 64. Further the spray direction of the steam is directed toward a supporting member 10 by a change plate 38 attached to an outer pipe 36 to improve wetting efficiency.
