Abstract:

To achieve dynamical control of an application in a terminal according to the position information and service policy, resulting in improvement of user convenience.

In an application control system, a communication portion 301 includes not only a means to connect to an external network 105 through a wire or wireless communication means but also a function to obtain information transmitted from a terminal 102. A position information pickup portion 302 receives the position or the user information transmitted from the terminal 102, and requests search for service to an application database 303. The application database 303 searches for an application related to the position information on the basis of the inputted position information, and informs an application URL to the terminal 102 described in the transmitted user information if there is any application corresponding thereto.
